American Debt Consolidation

In debt but feeling patriotic? Maybe you should look to American debt consolidation for help.

American Debt Consolidation Options

America is the land of opportunity. That's why you can find so many American debt consolidation options. In fact, each state has its own debt consolidation programs, so you can find anything from American debt consolidation to New York debt consolidation to Florida debt consolidation.

Within each American debt consolidation option is a host of other options to help you resolve your debt issue. We've outlined a few of these options below, with a brief description of each one:

Debt consolidation program - Your basic debt consolidation program involves you contacting a debt consolidation company and speaking with a debt advisor about your financial situation. If he or she thinks a debt consolidation is the best way for you to get out of debt, he or she will contact your creditors to get you lower interest rates and lower monthly payments. Sometimes they can even get past late fees or over-the-limit fees removed. Then, instead of making several monthly payments to your creditors, you make one payment to the debt consolidation company, and then they distribute that payment among your creditors. Because of the lower interest rates, you can be debt-free in about five years.
Student loan debt consolidation - This plan combines all of your student loans into one. Not to sound like a cheesy t.v. commercial, but for a limited time, you can lock into a low fixed interest rate. (It's true--Congress won't allow fixed rates for student lows after 2006! So the time to act on this is now!) Also, your monthly payments are reduced by nearly 50%.
Credit card debt consolidation - This is just like a basic debt consolidation program, but it's designed for people in credit card debt.
Debt consolidation loans - A loan is made to you by a debt consolidation company to pay off your unsecured debts. You pay the loan back at a much lower interest rate than you were paying on your unsecured debts, so you get out of debt sooner.
Debt consolidation mortgage - Allows you to borrow from the equity in your home to pay off your debts. The advantage is a much lower interest rate (think mortgage rates); however, if you can't make your payments, you will lose your house.

These are just a handful of the American debt consolidation options you'll come across when searching for help with your debt. There are even more, believe it or not! To investigate the above options further, click on the links. Who knows? You might just find the perfect American debt consolidation solution!
